Scientifically Speaking is a science communication and education service providing expertise in earth, climate, environment, energy and natural sciences. We bring complex scientific issues to a wide audience of all ages in simple and accessible ways.
Based in Melbourne, Australia, Scientifically Speaking has more than a decade of science communication experience across research, writing and editing. We provide rigorous, independent science communication resources for a variety of audiences from technical experts to schools to the general public.

Scientifically Speaking can be commissioned for a wide range of science communication services including:
- Undertaking secondary research into topics across the natural, energy and environment sciences.
- Preparation of science communications at a level appropriate for the audience.
- Editing of complex peer-reviewed science for a broader audience whilst retaining the essence of the underlying science.
About
Dr Stephanie Baldwin is the director of Scientifically Speaking. She has worked in Australia, the UK and Europe in the resource, academia and policy advisory sectors. Stephanie has a BSc (Hons) in Geology and Geophysics from the University of Sydney (Australia), a PhD in Earth Sciences from the University of Cambridge (UK) and an MSc in Science Communication from Imperial College, London (UK). Stephanie has worked in the resource industry, at the UK Parliamentary Office of Science and Technology and the NSW Parliament, advising politicians on complex scientific issues and most recently has be engaged by CSIRO and the Bureau of Meteorology in Melbourne to develop a website on climate extremes in Australia and editing a major report on climate change in the South Pacific which was funded by the Federal Government.
